VRBO is actually starting to copy Airbnb's pricing model because they're losing. It has worse legal issues in many areas because it is outright short term rentals instead of hosted rentals. Additionally, the response rate and spee

I imagine you'd be able to pick from a few options as far as car type goes and then get a driverless car of that type. Once you knew which cars you like, then you could set it as a default option or something. Driverless cars would eli

Not sure where you live but I agree with shoyer that Lyft Line and Uber Pool serve this functionality very well in San Francisco, New York, and presumably also the other major metros where they've launched it (Austin, Boston, Chicago,

Ahh I see, you hate regulation, taxes, and don't think a city the size of Dallas really needs mass transit in practice. So this isn't really about San Francisco at all. The only thing that really surprises me now is that you speak

Yeah Dallas is really the epitome of good urban planning and land use compared to San Francisco. Lets go get in our cars and drive thirty minutes to Chili's so we can have a real cultural experience </sarcasm> Texas pretty m

Even if the members of the family are going different places, each of them can likely share a car with other people heading in the same direction (e.g. to the same school or workplace, to the same city from the suburbs, etc.)

Sounds like you need to take a larger deposit. Then you could rent it out for 1-2 nights at a time, assuming a cleaning fee that covers your costs, without worrying about damage. Not that the $1 million in insurance wouldn't cover you

So true. Google even turned off the DNS for the activation servers for their Android 2.1 devices (at least for the HTC Wildfire) so I could no longer log in with Google to get into the phone and do anything at all. Contrast this to my first

I don't see how SF's anti-chain laws relate to a claimed dearth of new restaurant concepts. In fact, I feel strongly that they have the opposite effect. In fact, the overall assertion that there are a dearth of new restaurant co

Yeah agreed. The linked article mentions distributing income but snapchat has no dividends so it seems irrelevant. I'm not clear how this has any effect on Fidelity's taxes for 2015. It seems like its just bringing the valuations

I'm not clear how it is Airbnb's fault if they don't have much availability in Kittanning, PA (population 4000). I found two places for rent there which honestly seems pretty decent. The median age is 40 in that area so it do

The fact that something is banned by HOA agreements hardly proves its risky or even seen as such. I've seen many HOA agreements that ban painting your house a non-approved color. I'm not sure I follow your comment about detached d

Rents are headed straight up and people are desperate for anywhere to live. Its a good gig to be a landlord in SF even if the laws are tenant friendly

According to Wikipedia, reverse stock splits remove everyone with less than the split factor from the cap table. So if it was a 10-to-1 reverse split then you'd need at least 10 shares or you'd get paid out in cash https:/&#
