I agree with ajju, hate is totally the wrong word to use. Both parties simply have different interests. In this case, Sequoia wanted liquidity on their investment (the economy is in a downturn after all), while from what I understand Tony

I suspect that if RyanAir offers this they will nickel and dime those standing passengers for everything to recoup the lost ticket revenue. For example, in the standing configuration they effectively eliminate the overhead storage, that's

This totally reminded me of something posted to Twitter by Cisco yesterday - http://twitpic.com/b5tl3 . Obviously the Cisco setup is a lot more expensive but it looks incredible.

What I find pretty fascinating is that according to their numbers the 14 GPU cores were performing about 1.5 times as many hashes per second as the 115 CPU cores were.

As a bonus, this strategy also makes it (relatively) simple to handle multiple currencies. By using raw integers, you never have currency information attached so it's a lot tougher (and messier) to keep track of the currency.

How so? Since this is a brute force cracker my (admittedly limited) understanding is that the salt wouldn't do much for you. sha1(secret + salt) = hash Assuming you don't know the salt you're left with (secret + salt). In the likely

I'm curious what balance others have struck between development and tech support. I know personally I wouldn't want to be developing something and have to take a support call (or email) every 15 minutes. My idea would be to rotate who is "o
