Interesting to hear. I think it definitely adds a little bit of credibility to your service to be able to offer the free phone support (for as long as it's feasible anyway).

I'll confess now to definitely not being an expert on mail systems but what is to stop this tampering from happening now by a man-in-the-middle? I don't really see any new avenue of attack that doesn't already exist with current systems (en

I don't see a problem with it if the translation is 1-to-1 (and that's a pretty big if). Disregarding federal law for the moment, what is the harm in the mailman reprinting your letters with nicer font on nicer paper? It seems to me that

The default page name "MyFirstWebPage" was already taken when I tried to create it. I'd just make the user enter something in here since I'd imagine it's pretty unlikely that you'll be able to default it to something the user is going to e

As far as the site, it looks great! I had a couple of quick thoughts as I looked through it but overall everything was really easy to understand. Pricing - I was a little confused by the pricing (dollars vs. pounds) perhaps you could make

Given how utterly cool plan9 is, I have some difficulty understanding how they so completely failed to find a userbase. I think the reason it never became popular is that the existing popular operating systems have been (to this point) go

Perhaps a good opportunity to do some A-B testing. Although the more I think about it, the more I'm not sure it really matters that much since, after all, it is the free plan. There are probably better places to optimize.

I notice that you rotate through images on the main page if I sit there long enough. Why not let me move back and forth through those manually? The name of the free plan seems a bit odd to me, any reason why that was chosen over "Starter" o

While taking control of the aircraft might be easier, I'd imagine that you'd be a lot easier to track via radar. That's not to mention that the Air Force is probably going to assume you're a terrorist and I doubt you're going to outrun any

Popovich's first rule of firearms is pretty simple: The man who tells you he's going to shoot you will not shoot you. Definitely not a job for the faint of heart.

I think the title of inventing the browser would go to Tim Berners-Lee, although Andreesen was responsible for the first mainstream browser. I'm anxious to see whether someone will come along behind Google and do what Andreesen and company

It looks like the .com ( http://twitvid.com ) belongs to someone else, does anyone else see this as a pretty big hurdle to adoption? Someone doing this was my first thought when I saw they weren't using the .com when they launched. ( http

Not to be pedantic, but there's no way that you're going to make anything 100% secure, even if you host it internally. I do agree with your point though and can understand some companies wanting to keep all of their code in-house though.

As far as restaurants go, I notice that the receipts have a way of sticking with me (pockets, etc.) long after I've forgotten about the meal. I'm sure I'm not the only one either.

I just verified that the =rand(200,99) one does still exist (in Word 2008 on Mac anyway). As brunov said, this looks more like an easter egg than a bug though.

If you're going to commit, run tests, and then commit again, I don't see a problem with it as long as you use git-rebase to squash those two commits together before you push them. The goal should always be to have the code in your main repo
