Huge user friendly! Even more than devenv which I’m currently using. One question: does Flox need Nix preinstalled? I don't see any mention of Nix in the installation guide. If Fkox doesn't need Nix install it would be a huge game

+1 to devenv. I used to use Nix natively, then switched to devbox and then devenv. devenv is the most intuitive to use. I just wish that I could just run a command using devenv (similar to nix run) instead of having to declare it in the dev

I have a 2008 Vizo TV from Costco. It is 47" dumb TV. I'm still using it in my game room for call of duty. Even though it still works I think it's time to get a 4k TV. My conundrum has always been finding a dumb TV at this po

I just read “Robust Python” book. My overall reaction is that book could have been written with half the length and still be valuable for me. I can't stop thinking if I could ask LLM to summarize each chapter for me, I still could &quo

If dead simple involves me babysitting a service process then not it is not. SQLite has embedded version that requires no service out of process. That's what my definition of dead simple.

Yeah, I don't think it is for me either. I tried a few times but always found that the style of writing is so strange: if this is a science book, I expect succinct style. Instead, I found the dialogs of Achilles and the turtle are just

A lot of good comments here. I think there is a quote I learn from Thich Nhat Hanh that I wanted to share: "you could say you sacrifice a lot to be number one in your job, but it makes no sense to say you sacrifice a lot to be happy&qu

I'm curious about this as well but my data is mostly (95%) numerical metrics. Is there a "RAG" mechanism for numerical data instead of text? My use case is data analysis, insight discovery for example.
