I use uBlock Origin and Privacy Badger which should mitigate tracking via the "share with Facebook" button. I also use Cookie Autodelete (except for whitelisted domains) which should make tracking via cookies next to impossible. U

Not sure how reliable this information is [1], but apparently, 200k vs 500k. Another [2] organization states 350k vs 1.5M (including LPE). [1] https://opzero.ru/en/prices/ [2] https://www.crowdfense.com

Did you mean to say Forgejo? Correct me if I'm wrong, but Codeberg is simply hosting a Forgejo instance for you, so not exactly self hosting.

Because it's free and convenient, and other hosting providers don't magically have 100% uptime either. Not even necessarily more uptime than GitHub.

Oh please. Do you really think the people who won the nobel prize for this discovery have a grade school level understanding of speed? You seem to be talking about peculiar velocities, which are absolutely negligible on cosmological scales

So when you find yourself in the situation in which the vast majority of professional physicists, especially those who dedicated a good chunk of their life to study this one phenomenon, believe one thing, and you, as a self-proclaimed laype

There is no such thing as a deep link. If you don't like how your client device handles links, re-configure it or, if that's not possible, use a different device. The problem here is on your end.

What is it that is supposed to be wrong with the link? .app is a regular TLD, the host name resolves to a regular IP address and there is a regular web server returning regular HTML.

No. Even though Mathematica is arguably meaningful. It's very popular with some scientists, and in many aspects it's a respectable piece of software. A few years ago Sean Carroll was hosting him on his podcast. It was a bit surpri

Our current knowledge points to the first planets appearing around one billion years after the big bang (heavy elements need to be bred in stars in sufficient quantities first and be ejected in super novae), and evolution taking another bil

Another point of view: it took over ten billion years for the first tree to form in the universe. The first stars were present only after a couple hundred million years.

100 billion is the only number in cosmology you need to remember: stars in the milky way, galaxies in the observable universe, and age of the universe (in dog years).
