Indeed, which is why the premise is false. So if a liar who always lies says that thing about ten foot men, ten foot men must exist, and at least one does not have brown hair.

It's not deceptive, it's simply true in formal logic. I've been thought in linear algebra 101: all statements about the elements of the empty set are true. That's the core of this puzzle, and contrary what OP claimed, it

Is it like this for everyone? I sometimes wonder how large the number of cases is where the parent does not feel like that at all but refrains from sharing it due to societal expectations and fear of being judged. It would introduce a bias

My first reaction was: this is super cool. I can't say whether I'll stick to it as I often read HN via newsboat and https://hnrss.org/frontpage , but I'll give it a try! Thanks for sharing!

I have not. It's an enterprise Wifi. Enroll all end points and authentication happens seamlessly. Zero user interaction, it literally cannot be simpler.

Maybe so, but in this case they made it easy for them [1]: > Upon examining those logs, Volexity found that in January and February, password-spray attacks had been carried out against this service and three accounts had been successfull

Wouldn't it then follow that all students of the same teachers end up with the same skill level in math? Not sure that's the case.

1=c=G=hbar and sometimes =k is not even a joke, that's just natural units. Pi=e=1 however ... is only half a joke, because cosmologists are often only interested in orders of magnitudes, and even those are sometimes approximated.

Well the answer is clearly no. Did you think they all came from the same science school where they produce generic scientists that go on to work at the institute of science? Why would epidemiologists have anything to do with climatologists?

If doesn't make sense to take the percentage of a quantity in units with an arbitrary reference point. In Kelvin it would be about 0.5%.

Well of course. What I clearly meant was that DM predicts lensing effects in a magnitude that cannot be explained with ordinary matter. See bullet cluster or weak lensing observations.

Dark matter predicted lensing effect which were successfully tested. Same for the baryonic acoustic oscillations in the CMB.

Not really. You might think this after watching Angela Coulliers video, but when you read something like "25% of the universe's energy content is made of dark matter", they do not mean changes to some theory. They literally m

I get the point, but can Stansted really be considered as being in London? It sounds like a trick by Ryanair to make the airport sound more important than it is, similar to their airport Frankfurt-Hahn which arguably isn't anywhere nea

You need to be more specific when you say "Linux". I use Debian Unstable and stuff breaks all the time. Which is to be expected, so I'm not complaining, it's on me. My understanding is that Microsoft has shifted QA to th

Are you sure? The last time I voted in Germany they gave me five ballots (EU, state, county, city, district), some with dozens of candidates - per party. I had dozens of votes to give. Here is a similar example: https://www.volks
