Counterpoint: The town I grew up in just turned 400 years old. Things haven’t always been perfect but it seems pretty self-sustaining at this point.

I used to be a big LastPass proponent myself, but I only ever used their free tier. After the LogMeIn acquisition there was something people were frustrated about, I don’t remember what though, and I started being less satisfied with their

I really enjoyed this read. I deeply enjoyed the tone of this article, and the insight inside is tremendous. Although the companies mentioned are no longer around in the same sense, this piece touches upon some universal threads that are as

Parking in the UK was a nightmare for me. I don’t remember the specifics, but either a 1 or an I is a valid character for a license plate, and the other isn’t valid. The app used standard iPhone fonts such that the one that will never exist

I’ve always felt that the word “rescue” when applied to dogs (it’s almost always applied to dogs as pets vs other animals) comes across as self-serving. I used to think it meant the owner was busting down doors with animal rescue police to

Interesting comparison with cars, I would think a Hyundai is much more reliable and less expensive to maintain than a Mercedes, and Hyundai is now being positioned as a more premium brand than it once was. On topic, GitLab is great at CI&#x

What generation do you fall into? I’ve noticed some groups of people are better than others. Most of my baby boomer relatives are really bad about social media, sharing tons of political things (often nasty and offputting) and seem to liken

I would say this is largely true for myself and my peers, but to older relatives Facebook is conflated with real life and actually keeping in touch.

I’m not really following the part with the mold - can you not pull the fridge out and give it a deep cleaning, or worst case hire someone who specializes in that to do so?

This is incredible. Great work! I recently looked at making a really simple RTS using something like Unity and I was surprised how little love that genre gets from a lot of engines.

As an aside, I grew up with “chicken fingers” everywhere, on restaurant menus, etc. but now I can’t think of the last time I didn’t see them called “chicken tenders” outside of one regional fast food chain where I am now. I live in a differ

For a point of comparison, in the state I live in in the US, you’re looking at 2-4 hours to a lot of vacation destinations. Many of which don’t have fast chargers along the way. In a normal pre-Covid year, I’ve driven upwards of 8-15 hours
