I used to be a big LastPass proponent myself, but I only ever used their free tier. After the LogMeIn acquisition there was something people were frustrated about, I don’t remember what though, and I started being less satisfied with their products.
I got a referral trial of 1Password from a friend and it was so nice and polished I have been a paid customer of theirs ever since.
I hope that LastPass becoming more focused on their original mission will allow them to succeed more at it.

(or maybe I'm conflating this with Dropbox). A sure one is that they, somewhat recently, limited your use of the free tier to either desktop or mobile devices. So you could use it on your laptop's browser or your smartphone, but not both.
