For some, sure. I don't bother customising or changing the adverts that YouTube shows. I let them determine that. Just keep in mind that YouTube will show you adverts whether I enable monetisation or not, so I may as well turn it on.

So as a content creator, I can give you some insights into why this is. Keep in mind this will change eventually, and doesn't apply to every creator. Simply put: if I make a video that's eight (8) minutes long, or longer, I can ch

Welcome to IT.... no seriously, this is how a lot of executives behave in IT.

I wonder if there's a desire for a western equivalent with the same rules?

Not a side project, per say, but I answered questions on my local Linux User Group almost daily. After applying for a job and not hearing back, I got a request to come in for an interview weeks afterwards. Long story short, the boss told me

I do the same. I fast between 8pm and 12pm the following day (classic 16/8 model), but I have a black coffee around 10am as I find it helps reduce hunger.

Let me ask you a question: all of those changes you made would require discipline and tracking. How did you go about solving those problems? How did you implement these ideas/systems?

I do miss the ability to customise the hell out of KDE (I'm on Windows 11 + Linux headless for work), but at the same time, I would often spend times making the UI look how I wanted only for some app to simply ignore the GTK+/Plas

I know what you mean. One thing I'm trying to get into the habit of doing is using yt-dlp to pull videos from YouTube so I don't have to use their website, and I have _YT premium_ ffs -- it's just nasty.

I think this can be simply boiled down to: have posts delete themselves if they do not get attention after X time. I don't know if the "garden" or gamified UI is required. We just need healthier social networking and I think

I want to say no, purely based on the idea that if that were the case all my inboxes - spreads across several providers - would be overwhelmed with spam? Surely the (organised, educated) spammers are all over this sort of thing and would be

On a somewhat related note: how come we, as a society, have never really adopted the daily "video log" (except for the YouTubers amongst us; the Neistat wannabes), but we have _heavily_ adopted the idea of the written journal?
