I feel this would be the case having done a bit of MS work my self over the years. But at the same time, I'd say it's also the reason MS don't innovate as much as Apple do. Just a personal opinion.

Investing applies to everyone, in all walks of life, is is the sole reason the 1% exists - the wealth is built up through investments and passed down through the family tree. No one is saying don't invest.

I thought load balancers popped out the end of Services and it was plugins that handled the specific cloud environment? I'd say that still constitutes cross platform.

Hi. It's very good. I will likely deploy my application to it and eventually, move an open source hosting platform I'm building into it too. It's simple and gets to the point. Thanks for the recommendation :)

You're not wrong. It's not simple, but it's also not that hard, really. Yeah I use a DigitalOcean load balancer in front of the servers. At this point in time the application serves my family and friends. It's not critic

Like I said, it goes beyond just solving the problem. It's a learning exercise as well as a solution. Have you never wondered what projects you can write to help you learn X or Y?

There's a bit more to the story than simply solving a problem. I have other plans for the software and we have ideas about how we want to move it forward. One of the key features is being able to "tag" an item on someone'

Good on you mate. I love this approach. I'll be doing the same thing my self with a few products I'm developing with my brother. "Keep it simple, keep it stable" is what I like to say.

Not to mention the fact that by saying, "Just give us HTML and we'll do the rest", you're taking away their ability to push adverts and track you for that juicy, monetizable(?) tracking data. I think this is why RSS did

This is an interesting point, actually. Should publication platforms be giving us two choices: their design and implementation; or raw text (HTML) we can style ourselves?

I can't use the Reader Mode in Chrome or Safari on your website? If you added that in, I would agree with you. Otherwise, it's an "OK" experience.

I agree with the static hosting side of things. However that often requires more technical know-how such as the command-line, Git, and potentially other advanced topics. Instead I recommend people buy a domain, create a DigitalOcean account
