I think the staff role varies a lot between companies- so take this with a grain of salt. > Because I've been out of the daily coding game for three years. I know what I don't know. I need time to rebuild those muscles - to rem

I’m not Daniel, but I think some of these questions are pretty easy to answer. * Does it have to be? Of course not. This is a free open source project. Absolutely none of it ‘has to be’. Speaking more towards features, I’m sure a lot could

For me, the complaint isn’t the AI itself, but the updated privacy policy that was rolled out prior to the AI features. Regardless of me using the AI features or not, I must agree to their updated privacy policy. According to the privacy po

I do love my HA setup. I use it for everything from home security system (door/motion sensors) to turning on/off the Christmas tree lights. One thing I think is a little more unique is my home electrical uptime monitoring. I have

Sorry in advance if this is a dumb question, but isn't Rust's 'Cargo' package manager one of the draws of Rust? While I follow along that Rust's memory safety is a big benefit, does not the package manager and the s

Interesting timing since the pre-commit author recently said it’s more or less been in maintenance mode but is now interested in adding new features. For me, I would say the most intriguing feature is no Python dependencies.

I understand this is corporate double-speak, trying to signal empathy without admitting any fault. But it’s the fact that it is double speak that is so irking. It might be appropriate in manger/subordinate/HR conversations - but i

Yeah, the “I’m sorry you feel this way” response really irked me too. There are so many different ways to respond that would have been more appropriate and conveyed the same message.

Oh just wait till it’s time for your company to stop the ‘growth mode’ shenanigans and get serious about acceptable levels of tech debt and feature bloat. It’s where we are. You can’t just flip a switch. There is no “Hey, that was fun, but

The cult of Trump is a team sport. There is no defending actions or rational. It’s Trump winning against the ‘deep state’, the ‘media’, and the ‘libs’. Anything and everything he pulls off is just another ‘win’ for team Trump- and the loser
