A RoRo freighter is designed for vehicles to "roll on, roll off". They don't haul regular freight. I agree that it's very unlikely that near shoring simple electronics and T-shirts will be the big needle mover for emissi

That's interesting, it's something I haven't really thought about. There is some desire for less caffeine as it adds bitterness. Eugenioides, a parent species to arabica the commonly cultivated species, inherently has less ca

TDS is just Total Dissolved Solids. What solids though you don't know and you could be adding carbon while removing others which is likely the case. Also those dinky little TDS meters don't even measure TDS. They measure electrica

This one is U+4E00, CJK Unified Ideograph-4E00. So it's a common character between Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. This should be "one" in all three. And it does technically look a little different than a dash: https:/&#

I guess we'll be fighting this one until the end of time. Panera never had a carve out and was never exempt. Newsom never met with Flynn Group (Panera's owner).[1] [1] https://www.politico.com/news/2024/0

It's always tough to just drop examples, it's very much a "feels" thing. Whether that means the results are truly worse, or maybe presented worse, hard to say. But as a DDG user now I somewhat regularly use the "!G&

Just in time for WPA3 to begin to be all but required, as WiFi 7 MLO requires strict WPA3. This is pretty awesome though to see new life breathed into these devices. I know the Vita has a big community around homebrew and emulators.

The machine in TFA is maybe a bit deceptive, it's actually hardly more than a pump. The Argos and Meticulous are much more complex. They have both struggled scaling up their operations, which is a complexity shared with all manufacture

I own a Decent and I'm quite familiar with its in's and out's. The Decent uses some math to estimate the flow. Their math is actually quite solid, within a specific range, but if you stray from that then it get less accurate.

In another vein, if my bank account is $100 short, that's my problem. If my account is $1m short, that's the bank's problem. Considering it's a societal wide problem, society at large ought to care about resolving it. It

I'm not a Kagi user and don't have any hard info. But I find DDG frustrating with searches. It tends to do fine enough with technical searches, like software/programming searches that I make. It's other random searches t

GP was saying the client would require a web browser. The server of course needs cloudflared. That said, personally I don't really have any devices that can use SSH but not a browser.

The update page that opens in a new tab mentioned this change, once updated to Firefox 128. Perhaps you have that turned off, many power users do, making them oblivious to updates and the changes they bring. Also I believe this is to the be

Personally I'm a fan of Aegis: https://getaegis.app/ It's open source, doesn't try to lock you in. The app has a number of options for backup, but there's no cloud component. I've seen some love for

As he mentions in the article, LEGO does sell a kit already, set 42179. I find it unlikely they'll adopt his design when they already sell one of their own, even if his has improvements that he mentions.

I got an N100 fanless computer for about $100, with the right Aliexpress deals. With 4x i266-v (2.5GbE). Just needed RAM and M.2. The total power draw is also quite low, I've seen people measure 7w total from the wall. At about $.32&#x
