> just a general computing device No, it's an Apple device. It _should_ be a general computing device, but Apple ensures that it will never be, and you should be aware of that when you buy it.

I'm not seeing anything about plugins/extensions on that page. As we all know, a browser is academic and unusable until it has extension support.

> Wonder if WSL supports GUIs? Yes, it's called WSLg. Uses Wayland, so many apps are a bit messed up. I think there's a way to install X11. Last time I tried it over a year ago it was a bit rough.

GitHub's notifications are the worst. Completely useless; nay, infuriating. That's the first thing they should improve IMO. Whilst I do get the _motivation_ behind collapsing large files in diffs, because you want to keep the numb

The one in JetBrains' IDEs is pretty good. "Annotate previous revision" is very helpful to step through it in time.

Since they are going to split it into parts and rewrite some of them, I see an opportunity to rewrite those parts in Rust or Go a la swc or esbuild. Whilst I'm sure a rewrite in JS or TS could improve performance too, the fact remains

The chain printing is not so user friendly, I find; I just ended up typing out multiple labels with spaces inbetween instead, and cutting them with a pair of scissors. This (along with the chain printing) only works when you know you have a

I'd like to hack my P-Touch to not waste 1" of tape every goddamn print for no discernible reason. I've read Brother's reason and I don't see it.

Yeah; gas is big largely in Germany, and even moreso in the Netherlands since they historically had an enormous gas field in Groningen.

The default font is still so baffling to me. I wasn't able to figure out how to change it forever and ever in the Obsidian plugin (probably not Excalidraw's fault), so I had to uninstall it.

Useless anecdote: I don't have direct experience with Next.js[1] (but React, Angular, Vue, Solid), but I did help a co-worker out with something in their Next.js app, and as soon as I saw the madness that was file-based routing I wrote

Indeed. I live in Northern Europe and have a 17.2 kWp solar plant. During the summer, I see ~100 kWh uselessly (for me) go to the grid every day for a pittance, and I can't really use it. 4 months of the year (almost 5 if it's a r

I really cannot agree at all. Maybe, maybe you can make an argument for the R2, but even that is more diminutive than most Range Rovers.

Good news for both companies. I'm a bit surprised, because I thought VW would be pissed at Rivian that the R3 basically looks like a 1991 VW Golf[1] Country[2]. [1]: VW Rabbit for the North Americans [2]: https://www.flickr.
