I’m from Eastern Europe myself. Yes older folks have accounts, but they aren’t active users. They wouldn’t join groups. They wouldn’t vote in the app. My parents in law are a testament to that. They too have all of those apps, yet they can’

The problem with that approach is that it’s clearly biased towards the younger generations who are tech savvy. But it’s mostly the older people who would’ve voted for Luk. Note, I don’t support Luk in anyway, just pointing out the bias. Alt

In Canada to become self employed is basically processless. You just file personal taxes as usual. They get slightly more complicated with deductions and such though. But many people do self employed taxes themselves. Next level would be in

I was pissed off and left Firefox for Chrome not because they removed XUL add one, but because they didn’t have a good replacement. Chrome extensions are ugly and have no unified design. They are glorified web pages in a floating window. I

I’ll be implementing something similar soon, and don’t want to overengineer it. Could you please list the top options and their pros and cons? Thank you in advance!

I was talking about the North American model where staff are paid basically nothing and they live off of tips. Europe is another story. Tipping there is not expected. And staff are probably decently paid.

It’s because wages haven’t been catching up with inflation for decades also. Not just food service, pretty much in every sector, maybe with the exception of tech.

People normally pay tips for a good service. Making tips mandatory provides no incentive to provide a quality service. If the service quality drops - customers will go elsewhere.

Everyone complains about LinkedIn and recruiters. But I get zero spam these days. I think it’s a combo of a setting adjustment (there’s a toggle you can turn off if you are not available for hire) and the fact that I’m clearly using a pitch
