We have just under 2,000 users in our JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo ecosystem. Customizing things like ticket types and workflows is obviously just point and click. We've also created custom reports, and Jelly based custom event triggers

Why would you put your git repo in DropBox? That seems counter-intuitive to me. I specifically keep anything in a VCS out of DropBox since then you're versioning stuff twice.... I have just under 150,000 files in DropBox and haven&#x

Obviously just one anecdote but my parents both had work/on-call in the evenings and weekends, always had a substantial mortgage on the house which they had to sell when they split up. I will get zero inheritance. They are both colle

This may seem foreign to most people here, but there's still a TON of people who don't do online banking or have an account setup/bookmarked for all their financial institutions online sites.

Puppet/Chef and general admin automation scripts handle the updates/config changes/etc... very easily without the added complexity of container management/orchestration.

So your haproxy, nginx, ldap, dns, nagios, sftp, ELK, imap, etc... services don't live more than a day or two? Interesting.....

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'm trying to not be the old dog who can't learn a new trick, but the recent hype around massive containerization in production, and micro services, etc... just baffle me. As someone who&

I think you're unfortunately wrong on this point. While high earning well educated people may live longer, at least in the US they aren't reproducing more. Most of the educated/high-earning people I know are either not havin

Lower octane fuel actually has more energy per volume, so if your car's compression is low enough for 87, using 93 just gives you less power and worse efficiency.

Please don't. You force the car to retard the timing, get less power, and burn fuel less efficiently. If you really don't want to pay for higher octane fuel, buy a car that runs on lower octane fuel...

Interestingly many auto manufacturers UNDERSTATE horsepower and torque numbers. I can understand that a little, due to variances in actual engines, but these days that variance is low and the spread between specced power and dyne'ed p
