I suppose it depends on how you do it. I worked from a beach town in Costa Rica for a month last year. I worked very well, being unusually productive (I think due to lack of stress and a change of scenery). I worked ~6-8 hours a day&#x2F

No. JetBlue doesn't overbook. Starting in Q3-4 of 2016 JetBlue starting having fleet issues with the A321s and many times had to swap in a A320 (with ~50 fewer seats) due to mechanical issues with the newer A321s, which resulted in a

I see DNS issues with SmartHub, etc.. but I don't see anyone suggesting that Samsung is capturing image data and sending it back? Not saying they aren't, but as an owner of two Samsung TVs, I'd be interested in any real evid

My doctor told me to take Vit E due to some bad liver numbers. Two months later the numbers were significantly closer to normal, so it seems like Vit E supplements are doing something for me...

I did indeed build it:) I find myself somewhat reticent to discuss the details of the finances, but let's say it's a five figure amount annually.

https://10minutemail.com I built it to learn JBoss Seam, and recently re-wrote it using DeltaSpike. I personally use it almost every day!

While I understand the desire for a single integrated tool, I think it's better to use the right tool for each job. Especially since people work/think differently, the best way to handle a ToDo list for you may not work for me. S

Well I grew up in the mountains of Vermont, and that environment hasn't changed really. But I see your point, although I feel that the only way to combat that shift, is to actively push against it (like the dad in the article did).

I agree with this 100%! I grew up free to explore the woods, build forts, climb trees, jump off rocks, swim unsupervised, ride mt. bikes down steep hills, drive dirt bikes from age 10 on, drive snowmobiles, carry a pocket knife, whittle, e

Like I said, super simplified. But surely you aren't arguing that the revolution army was trained or equipped to the same degree as the British Army?

by modoc 10y ago
Granted this is a massive over simplification, but during the Revolutionary War a bunch of farmers with the simplest of firearms did pretty well against better equipped, organized, trained soldiers. In many fights of this type (internal) vi

Firstly not sure you being sarcastic brings much to the table. And many people use enough BW that it's a real cost. If you don't that's fine. But don't assume that it's a non-issue.

It's approximate 4:1. A police officer (of any race) is 4x more likely to be killed by a black person than a white person.

by modoc 10y ago
Yes if you adjust for homicide rate OR the rate at which police officers are killed by civilians (black vs white) you get: “Adjusted for the homicide rate, whites are 1.7 times more likely than blacks die at the hands of police,” he said. “

If I'm not mistaken "routine" traffic stops are the single most (maybe fell to #2 this year?) dangerous thing for a LEO to do (i.e. the highest number of officer fatalities occur during a traffic stop). So asking officers to
