That is not true. Some are intubated if the mask respirators fail to provide proper oxygenation, but it is by no means the default. Source: my sister is a nurse at a hospital treating dozens of COVID-19 patients.

A couple random things: 1) I broke my leg quite badly, and after morphine and dilaudid didn't help they put me on fentanyl, which at the dosage they gave me, just barely helped with the pain. I am VERY glad they had that in their arse
