A key thing is having a standard for server names and URLs. $projectkey-$env-$dc-$type-$count for example so if I want to hit the Dev DB server for the London cluster for the Ikea project I'd use (SSH or WEB or whatever): ikea-dev-lon-db-01 SSH: autocomplete using known_hosts so I can easily tab complete any server name I've SSH'ed to in the past.
