Exactly - it's fairly obvious why Google has made the conscious decision not to do this, it costs a lot of money and their business model suffers. Ok - so they run the risk of breaking national laws and take the consequences when it happen

Agreed - Italy is a sovereign nation with the ability to make and enforce laws. If Google doesn't like it, they can stop doing business there, or suffer the consequences or breaking those laws.
