I think that http://academicearth.org/ does a good job, although they only aggregate courses from universities.

It sounds like Comcast is redirecting to a search page instead of returning NXDOMAIN for non-existing domain names. That is certainly not possible do to and at the same time be standards-compliant.

Thanks for the reply and insight. To be fair, I didn't mean that helo should always be corrected to hello, but that it should appear among the alternatives when you click on a misspelled word. My test case? "helo world" :)

You're sure you're not thinking of Google's Web Accelerator? It wasn't made to prevent phishing, but to speed up browsing, but it caused the problems you describe. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_Web_Accelerator

So I guess the expected reaction is some sort of outrage? Seriously, who expects anything different when most of the world's decision makers gather in one city? I'm impressed that they don't need more vehicles to make things work. The resul

Let's debate whether it is expected behavior or not. I propose that there is no other way for Analytics to handle subdomains than what you describe, because there is no way for Analytics to be certain that domain.com and sub.domain.com belo

Yes. There are two parts to this: parties in a trial are free to present any evidence to the court, no matter how it was obtained. However, the court alone decides the value of the evidence presented, and thus the weight it places in such e

Sweden does not have any such protections. All evidence is admissible in court no matter how it was obtained, legally or illegally. Of course if you can prove that the evidence was obtained illegally you can file charges for that, but the e

One thing I don't understand: how does the wristband/app tell when you are awake and when you are asleep? The screenshot shows several spots of "time awake" during the night, how does it know this? Preordered, anyway. I've always wanted to

I don't know if they are doing A/B testing or some kind of segmenting on which plans show up. Turns out it's $6.99, very reasonable for me anyway. I used their 50 gig/6 months promotion a while back, and when it ran out I wasn't using it en

The difference between $0.00 and $0.99 isn't simply 99 cents. It's the difference between no money (free) and some money, which is probably the single largest price discrepancy there is.

Most software patents I have seen patent the result, not the means to reach that result. A normal patent is for a specific way to reach a result. I can patent my specific "illumination device" (light bulb), but I can't patent "illumination

People usually don't have a problem with switching to English if there are non-Swedes present, but otherwise Swedish is used. Some people have difficulty sticking to English but a helpful reminder usually does the trick.
