Based on the reddit thread, this does appear to be a legitimate issue. Conspiracy theories aside, it seems to be a search quality issue. I do wonder why that support thread was deleted though. It's unfortunate that Matt Cutts (former h

What worries me more is state sponsored info ops that foment further divisions within the US, which is more divided than ever before. If I was a foreign power that considers the US an enemy, where my goal is to weaken them, that is where I’

First light I checked, and have verified in real life, is missing. Patos Island light on the Canadian border in the San Juan island group. Cute, but inaccurate. https://keepersofthepatoslight.org/about-patos-island

This isn’t a crash in historical terms. It’s simply repeating previous patterns. If we do have a true crash that wipes out most of the stored value and takes a decade to recover, like the dot-com crash, the effect on tech sector wealth in p

It’s really odd. If they use the 09 runways and the 27 runways (depending on wind on any given day) then you have left traffic in the pattern on the north or south side. It could be some weird compromise with the neighbors about only having

Yeah as far as I’m aware there is no public reporting of conflicts. (Loss of separation minima, also called a “deal” in ATC speak) It’s feasible to build this using ADS-B data.

The thing that’s unique about this airport is that it has parallel runways, which is very common, but the R runways (right side on approach) do not have right traffic. They also have a left traffic pattern. So two planes taking off at the s

As a reminder, Turkish Airlines flight 1951 crashed in 2009 due to a faulty radio altimeter which set the autothrottle to idle before they touched down. This isn’t hot air or some sort of power struggle between FCC and FAA. Radio altimeter

Ever wondered why modern digital film is still shot at 24fps and a shutter speed of 1/48th of a second when a faster shutter and higher frame rate would produce a technically superior product? It’s because audiences are enamored with t
