I have a bit of a dumb question: where does GraphQL fit in a stack? I've seen in used primarily as a means of aggregating a bunch of disparate microservices, but then I see things like this that put it in the role of app server, almost

Making Ruby/Rails maintainable at scale is a sisyphean task: it's possible, but at an enormous cost Disagree. I've worked at two companies now with teams of less than 6 maintaining rails apps that have handled bill

This article rings hollow with how Medium has slipped down in to the pit of unending, user-hostile A/B tests meant to increase "engagement" and sign ups. I absolutely hate medium now.

Limiting the amount of single family homes? Sure, and we should be. Rooftop solar is a drop in the bucket for multi-family buildings.

Trees very rarely go very far over your roof, otherwise it'd be a legitimate hazard.

If only. I pay more than 4x what my parents will ever pay in property taxes on their home that is worth more than 4x what mine is. Prop 13 was, pardon my french, such a dumb fucking proposition.

Title is misleading and borderline clickbait -- they use 'car' to mean sedan. Ford will still sell SUVs and trucks.
