Title is misleading and borderline clickbait -- they use 'car' to mean sedan. Ford will still sell SUVs and trucks.

  When talking vehicle categories, a truck is not a car.

    In common parlance it is. When I google 'cars for sale', trucks and SUVs come up.

  "Car" is the natural and correct word to use in the sentence, I don't find it clickbaity.

  Same for me... from the title I thought that Ford went completely crazy but after reading the article, it doesn't seem so bad.
