We ran into the same issue and we had to use API gateway to rewrite urls. but it had the added benefit of handling CORS there and the preflight requests never hits the application servers. Additionally preflight requests are cached at clou

They do support it, currently only in four regions. My guess is they will enable IPv6 in all regions this year, due to competition from other providers and gov requirements. https://cloud.google.com/compute/docs/ip

Same here for the work VPN which has multiple IPv4 addresses and wireguard interfaces. IPv6 works effortless for all traffic, while IPv4 is only limited to internal.

Cloudflare is the only provider that I know of that provides IPv6 reverse proxy for free with fair limits. If it wasn't for them most of my sites won't be accessible for more than half of the internet.

Most of the large DNS services are anycasted via BGP. (All POPs announce the same IP prefix) It makes sense to stop the BGP routing if the POP is unhealthy. Traffic will flow to the next healthy POP. In this case if the DNS sevice in the P

If your ISP and the server support IPv6, just disable SSH on IPv4. Some of my servers don't even have any IPv4 connectivity and there haven't been any failed SSH logins over IPv6.

I have IPv6 only servers and I am not moving to fiber because the ISP does not offer IPv6 with it. I will move when they offer it. Out of all the stakeholders in IPv6 migration, I blame the ISPs the most.

In theory, having IPv6 website enabled should give a slight boost to the ranking if the latency is lower. But still Google crawls dualstack sites with IPv4 so it is yet to be seen.
