A sub-$4 monthly fee seems like a decent choice to significantly increase the energy supply in your region. I'd like to see the numbers on the average monthly cost of electricity usage for homes in Georgia (separate from the various fe

Good point. Also consider this scenario: Direct competitors choose different WFH policies. Company A: exclusively in-office. Company B: exclusively WFH. Company B can allocate all the savings from office space and infrastructure towards inc

Similar result, but different route for me: Planning, I hate: "I'm using this time and energy to figure out how I'm going to use my time and energy." Waiting in line, I hate even more: "I want to do something and am

This either slipped my mind or I missed it back then. I have this nagging suspicion that I did see this news back then. The "memory hole" efforts were successful, though. Thanks for the notice/reminder!

This sounds like it's begging for an article in 20 years about "Why we never should have used superabsorbent polymers in agriculture". Won't these things get broken apart after years of working the ground? Won't the

"releases nasty stuff, though it smells less" Good info, and thanks for the heads up. With natural gas a smell-able component is added to help alert people to danger. Maybe the fact that it smells less is a problem.

I always imagined a 24x7 docked laptop was a good setup for a couple reasons: 1. built in UPS due to the battery. 2. easy to grab and go in an emergency situation. Could you tell me more about the liability it creates? Is it a fire hazard?

Thanks! Yes, they have nice features of their own. What about adding an mp3 player's features to those products?

I wonder why these don't also include audio recording features. It seems like a standalone device to play music well would also be perfect for recording audio well.

The at-home karaoke experience is pretty horrible. Companies put a high price tag on access to limited catalogs with hit and miss quality. Oftentimes, the musical bed is low quality midi music and the lyrics may or may not be timed properly

Agreed, but this brings up the topic of nature vs. nurture, and perhaps even the previously (~90 years ago now?) popular concept of eugenics. I think society settled on a response of "yeah, but we shouldn't actively do anything ab
