Oh yeah, and terrain deformation! Cool concepts. I'm not sure which ones do it well. The Diablo series seemed cool, but now it just kinda seems like "yeah, it's more and more and more of the same", even though some of it

Interesting! I remember playing DotA as a custom map on Warcraft 3, then being amazed to see the League of Legends and DotA2 communities grow so large. I had no idea that the battle royal games started in Minecraft. That's fun to know.

Tangent: It's amazing that the popularity of XP to "level up" and HP to bring to zero has become. This was a new concept to me way back when Final Fantasy 3 (3 in the US, I think 6 in Japan) came out. It felt very niche and r

I think it's the advertisers that assess user profiles and bid on who they want to show the ads to. YouTube would only be responsible for choosing from the collection of advertisers that select you. YouTube would want to maximize the b

Those are three pretty big "if" statements to get past. Maybe it is OK that some items aren't easily repairable at home. It would be awesome if Apple also offered a lower cost model with an easily replaceable battery (like an

LOL, can you make it dynamically have as many calculators as there are cores on the CPU and guarantee that each calculator only uses a single unique core for its own calculations?

Being able to share the content above when it is relevant has value, doesn't it? If the opinion is that this sort of corporate behavior is not healthy, and the person hopes to reduce or even eliminate that sort of behavior, then they n

It feels like an unnecessary gate left in place, in the hopes that some callers won’t get through, this reducing total call volume to the humans. More likely, it’s just not worth it to implement the interface between the systems.

Slightly off-topic: I wonder if we'll ever get to the point with AI where we can input the linked article and get usable code out. I'll be up front: you can't give me that article as input and expect usable code as an output.

I'd love to know what you all think is a good method to store these digital files at home in such a way that they can be: 1. easily viewed at home. 2. easily passed to the next of kin. 3. optionally: easily and selectively shared remot

I love this story, and imagine that I would enjoy experiencing that. I'm skeptical that I'm even allowing something like that to happen, let alone being proactive about trying to make it happen.

I generally like this, but there's another risk to keep in mind: Purposefully over-regulating to such a degree that only the existing behemoths can survive and no startup could reasonably navigate the costly labyrinth of policies in th

I'd love to see a change where the federal government was no longer allowed to tax individual citizens (or companies?). Taxation should be done by their State of residence/employment, and the Federal government can tax the State.
