That's depressing if true. I would much rather the price be the real thing all year round rather than waiting for a fake sale every second week.

Thanks for taking the time to write that! It's super interesting. Have you stuck with games dev since then?

That is the entire purpose of the product though. Burger patties that cater to vegetarians have been around for a long time and taste nothing like meat.

Our 8 week old will cry if she is not held 24/7. Whilst it is incredibly tiring and hard work, we've found a way to make it work.

If you ignore all the research and development into creating the software then sure every camera is the same.

There's no machine learning involved for hot pixel removal. The way I have heard it described is that hot pixels stay in the same place across multiple images. One of the processing steps is to figure out the location of the hot pixels

What machinery do you use? I find I need to clean very little when I bake bread. Usually most of the work gets done in a single tub.

I have been using json11 for a few years now ( https://github.com/dropbox/json11 ). It looks like it has been abandoned though. This seems like a great alternative.

Yes it does. People are much more likely to run your software on a battery powered device these days. This can have a massive impact on battery life.

Coffee helps me with fasting. It turns what is a semi uncomfortable experience to an easy thing.

Coffee isn't a replacement for water. You would still drink water (I hope).

Equally being too defensive and over-complicating code in case a "bad" developer makes a breaking change often leads to code that is worse in the long term.

In my experience silent failure leads to some of most difficult to debug systems that end up in a not quite right state. Fail as early as possible has always worked better for me, bugs are found much earlier.

Is there any particular reason why there is a generate button? I'd prefer it to be generated automatically as I change the values.

Personally I would be leaving any company that was laying off 5% of people immediately. That sends a signal that they are underperforming and it would destroy morale. Doing it every year is obscene.

Not for me. CPU usage and perforamnce in general is signifanctly worse than Chrome or Safari.

Firefox is not on par in terms of performance at all, at least on the Mac. I use it at home and at work but it just uses too much CPU for me to recommend it to anyone.

There are other places in the world that offer good public transportation, food, friendly people, etc. Unless you are attracted to Japanese culture in particular it would be so much easier to move somewhere else to experience living abroad

I think in a couple more iterations the Apple Watch will be the best fitness tracker out there. At the moment the poor battery life doesn't lend itself well to things like sleep tracking or longer activities.

Speed is definitely an issue on the mobile app. Personally I think Mozilla should try harder with the mobile market. Providing an ad and tracking blocking browser is still desirable on Android. Firefox is just too slow at the moment.

Providing a stock Android experience and timely updates is enough innovation when it comes to Android phones. If they manage that then I'll give them a shot.

They may be robust but the user experience still sucks. JS heavy web sites are unresponsive and turn my 3 year old MBP into a vacuum cleaner. Facebook is the best example. I can barely load the web site without the fans spinning. Firefox ca
