With regards to Bing achieving parity with Google, Is it also true for deep searches ? because usually in deep search, searches you expand quite some time on getting to the answer, while trying quite a few queries, at some point Google ofte

If you look at surveys ,c++ ,as shitty as it may be, is used a lot around the industry. And the fact that ARM have chosen it for the mbed on which they plan to build an operating system around for IOT chips, shows it's value for mcu&#x

Why rust is better? for example, it has generics, which more abstract and offering greater reuse while still being efficient. As for the dream of dropping fixed systems, you can already buy a cheap fast mcu from xmos with 4 cores which you

Like others said, it's hard to compare because the hardware also greatly improved. But if you look at embedded programming - in 80's we had c/ada, today we might have rust - fitting similar environments. That's surely an

One interesting thing: intel has been working for years on light communications between chips. Why is HP launching this first and not intel ?

In current version of Groovy you can mix static and dynamic typing in different sections of code by telling the compiler what are your preference.

Why not just use Groovy for everything instead of java ?

Best of luck for your project. I'm curious about it and i'll wait.Instead i'll ask: what are your opinion regarding embedded/mcu software tools? do you see something better than rust that can automate the dev process ?

I'm not sure fpga's are the least efficient everywhere, aren't there micro+fpga chips(like xilinx zynq) used in high/medium volume embedded system ? and wouldn't better tools increase volumes, leading to lower costs

I believe menta licenses fpga cores(LUT architectures). But FPGA's have so much that isn't LUT which is critical for performance.

You can still abstract lots of it. For example chisel[1] does so through high level abstractions and parametrized generators - while still offering results equal to verilog. It's also also used for the open source risc-V architecture[4

They are going to integrate it into their mbed-os(their IOT lightweight event based os, especially designed for real-time low-power devices). Some parts of this would be closed, so it's hard to tell if PolarSSL will be too.

Good answer. Instead of using the templates, can't you just read the docs and use the libraries yourself? this will help with upgrading - although it won't solve the issue of compatibility breaking changes. What's wrong with &

With such capabilities it's pretty weird that such companies aren't fiercely competing in the mcu market(at least in the high end of it). They could have made a killer mcu for very cheap.

What your opinion about the Stm32Cube libraries, that try to have high level api's while still offering low level api's as needed - while still saving you some effort in learning the device?

With regards to the client - will it work well on non-windows systems ? and phones/tablets ?
