The tone and word choice of this posting will probably alienate more people than it attracts. "Rockstar" might have been appropriate 10 years ago, but the bubble burst, and nobody buys into that anymore. In most worthwhile enterprises, the

I think that you're jumping to conclusions about why it was pulled, in the midst of your post asking why it was pulled.

It's inevitable. The theory is that the algorithmic protection and a little bit of oversight can remove the irrelevant stuff. If someone wants to pay to submit relevant stuff, then I don't see a problem.

So, awesome customer service is the goal. And awesome is defined as not 14 days, but 30 days. Wouldn't it be even more awesome at 90 or 365 or 1000? These organizations have to draw the line somewhere. You've drawn yours quite forcefully

Do you think that Dreamhost should be expected to hold data longer because there's a chance that some parties might have poor termination procedures and long stretches where they don't check their site or their emails? Most of the other hos

Nobody said it was a technical requirement. Just that they were "limited". The net result is that netbook manufacturers are selling machines that don't live up to the capabilities of the hardware or the OSes. There are ways around them,
