I think incenting people to review products defeats the whole point of what Amazon has to offer--genuine opinions about products from actual users. As mentioned above, no other e-commerce site has volume of reviews that Amazon has and few

For those unfamiliar with a PCR box ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PCR ), think of it as a photocopier for DNA--by creating copies, the DNA can be visualized through other tools like a gel box ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gel_electrophore

The reason this is a natural move is deal curation (2:15). Groupon and similar sites lack the credibility that Gilt has established. When Gilt recommends a deal, users will assume that it has been thoroughly researched and vetted. I can't

Accounting frequently makes these lists, but if we're talking about Big 4 auditing/tax, I'd say it's highly misleading. Being expected to work significant overtime with no compensation results in a much lower effective salary.

No question that 1.6MM could definitely buy much more exposure (the end goal of this exposure being customer acquisition and sales). Don't get me wrong, they did the right thing--however, this is no "happy accident".
