I think it's just hurting someone at Microsoft less if they give it a home that isn't /dev/null. Edit: quick hat tip to Mono.Cecil which I've used a couple of times to crack .Net components to bypass licensing code.

I was indeed around then. I built a fair few non trivial things on MSDOS and Windows with MASM 6, PDS7, VB3/4 and MSVC++. All offline. Mostly on airgapped networks. That and enbedded stuff with various tool chains. We were definitely m

I really do miss the days I was locked in an office with no internet connection with a free coffee machine and could be productive. Things were small, understandable and had documentation on paper.

We all learned to do it via powershell a couple of years ago because it's impossible to work out which thing to go to in the UI now. This sucks more.

Is it like the 32Sii where it has some weird approximator which sometimes gives you high or low estimates of correctness for the fractions? That really killed it for me back in the day.

I'm going to point out the obvious problem here: 42% RC identification is shit. That means the first person on the call doing the triage has a 58% chance of being fed misinformation and bias which they have to distinguish from reality.
