I watched a presentation by some psychology researchers last year where they were presenting their paper for applications of LLM technology in early-therapy diagnostics. They were literally throwing patients at it. I showed one of the enthusiastic followers, a high ranking PhD in the field, how easy it was to get it to give me suicide advice and she was absolutely horrified and totally unaware of the possibility this could happen. All these things were missing in the associated paper of course. Gotta keep those grants flowing.
