I don't know about that. More[1] and more[2] authors[3] these days are giving[4] away their books for free online as a form of advertising. 1: http://www.rifters.com/real/Blindsight.htm 2: http://www.antipope.org/charlie/blog-static/fict

Cinnamon 1.6 on Ubuntu 12.04 has been very pleasant for me so enjoy :) (the only thing keeping me from switching to mint is that they don't have a distro upgrade method like ubuntu does and I like keeping current)

The internet is (obviously) one of the best examples of the network effect. Sure you can technically wall of a subset of it and live on your own, but why would any sane person want to? I mean I get it, they want to limit access to non ideo

Kids. Have they never heard of the Streisand effect. It's pretty much in one place now. Take it down and it'll be back up 10 fold on youtube mirrored, and then also on other services like vimeo etc. You can't kill these things. Asking j

My point is that that attitude is useless. Great, you feel better for seeing something you don't like and calling it out. You know what you aren't doing? HELPING the victims? You REALLY care? Then step up, and engage. Swallow your pride a

what does that have to do with this board's general close and simple mindedness when it comes to geopolitics and interacting with different cultures. It seems like a lot of the people here have the depth of a tom clancy novel

Maybe Norway, but are you kidding about America? There are tons of shootings in America all the time. Not all are big mass mutli killings. That's how you know there's a problem, merely 4 people dying probably wouldn't even make the news.
