Deus Ex, a first person immersive sim with a lot of similarities to Cyberpunk 2077, used Unreal Engine. The more recent games in the series were a different engine.

OBS is of course more powerful, but if all you're looking for is "phone as computer webcam" then something simple like Iriun Webcam might work.

TBH I still don't get why cheese is being referenced, I've never heard that comparison. I brought it up because the GP said "tofu is not bean cheese" when that's almost exactly what tofu means.

The literal meaning of tofu is "bean curd".

It's not super obvious, but chrome and Edge already support a sort of keyword lookup for history entries. IE I type "github repo pulls" and the top suggestion is for "github.com/company/repo/pulls".

Microsoft is building better support for PWAs into Windows. Linux is still a mixed bag, as it will depend on your DE / toolkit (lest all users be expected to install a Chrome variant). Apple will probably continue to lag behind since t

Ah, echoes of the "why use this new Dropbox thing when I can use FTP, SVN, and some FTPFS" attitude. You're right, what you've suggested works. It would still result with VS Code running more on your client than it would

I've been playing with this stuff on and off for the past few weekends, getting an environment set up on my M1 air. I ended up going with a VM, as it still allows (IIRC) the thin client to be thinner. There's definitely bits of co

clangd is already a language server, so coc-clangd can be small since it only needs to be a bridge between the two.

What about C and Python are "native to Bash's environment" though? That's the complaint the person you're responding to is touching on. Also, lots of Linux distributions don't come with GCC and Clang by default

No more than Bash :):):) And either way, you don't need TypeScript to run this language server. You just need node. If you're not happy with that, well, consider this repo a reference and get cracking.

The calculator widget is no more. IIRC (I haven't looked into how widgets are built) there's no way for a calculator widget to work. They work in a way where the developer just gets to update some data on a schedule.

Which app is that? I haven't done much digging, but of the two Pocket Casts electron apps I found, one hasn't been updated since 2017 (before chrome supported this API) and the other doesn't have macOS builds. edit: the secon

AFAICT those are supported in Electron: Text expansions and emojis work in GitHub Desktop. Emojis work in VS Code, but it doesn't do text expansion (probably for the best there, YMMV).

People will say "you don't need a $500 card to play PC games", but they'll never acknowledge the caveat that a budget card won't run games anywhere near as nice as a PS5/XSX.

When you set up Nextcloud, it has a wizard prompting you for "apps" to install. Can't remember what the choices are exactly, but there's a "simple" choice that is just file sharing.
