The version of the OS that shipped with them has an unfortunate bug when reinstalling. IIRC it doesn't brick them, but it won't get passed the final stage when you create your account. In any case, the solution would be "down

I had to do this recently and went with the terminal method. It's just downloading the newer install app and running it, really quite simple.

"Loading ... took 2323ms". Over two seconds of loading for each terminal seems like a lot, but I'm guessing YMMV. I switched to the newer Windows Terminal from the store. It's tolerable, much more so than ConEmu ever was

Yes, exactly. I think we're saying the same thing: the submitted tool doesn't need apt or any sort of root permissions. While the instructions the parent posted required root, apt, knowledge of pinning, and acceptance of any issue

Yes, other software can do most of what GeForce Experience can do. Not everyone wants to install and run 5 different things when the one included with their graphics driver can do them all.

Material UI still fulfills all those points, unless I'm missing something: - Just declare the styles you want adjacent to the component - If you're repeating styles, make a component - material-ui has a design system / theme
