I think it's selling Marissa short to say she just didn't understand the contracts or her legal options and potential consequences. I think she understood the consequences but thought that the risk was worth the reward. In some ca

David Campos' poor analogy has pretty much zero relevance to the case at hand.

Would love to hear an opinion on this one from a legal mind, the case does not seem strong for Airbnb from my laymen's couch.

There's a lot of western restaurants (Admittedly usually on the higher end) who change their menus seasonally, if not daily to reflect whats available. Its part of what the whole farm-to-table phenomenon is about.

I don't think the comment should be deleted, but its a naive point and one I think HN should be above. This whole debate isn't a question of biological sex, but gender identity. The comment isn't worthy of discussion because

I might of not been clear, but my intent with the comment was to encompass the entirety of friction points involved in getting an app installed on a user's device, from discoverability on down.

One app for iOS, one for Android, and I got over 90% consumer coverage However with a huge friction point of requiring users to download and install an app.

In the React world it seems that ES6 or ESNext transpiled has the most mindshare. That's what this is.

As a long time QuickBooks online user it should be noted that about 2 years ago QuickBooks did one of the best online reboots I've ever seen. The new website is way simpler to use and understand.

If you replace "Twitter" with "Yahoo" and "Jack" with "Marissa" these stories can be from 3 years ago. Along those lines you can start taking current stories about "Yahoo" and make them &quo

The backend systems for Twitter - advertising, data analysis, spam prevention, infrastructure etc is vastly more complex what you see in a feed of 140 characters. Plus sales and marketing budgets are huge. Whether any of these systems or h

Traditionally an IPO was a mechanism for raising funds for continued growth. I know VC backing has been the more favorable mechanism of late, but being profitable has never really been a trigger for an IPO.
