Voting requires ID in almost every other western democracy, including Canada. The rest of the world see it as very reasonable to identify yourself at a polling station. It's odd that this is so contentious in the US. https://

This is bad advice. Theory is vastly more important in computer science and math. Given your logic, one will simply practice their way to linear algebra, machine learning or AI. Good luck with that. There's a giant toolbox of shortcuts
