Everything you described is actually called a "clock". Watches were the evolution from pocket to wrist, nothing more than that.

Thanks for your reply. Apple, and even Google, don't seem nearly as similar to Amazon in the question I asked. While they both invest heavily in R&D and other capex's areas, they also store a lot more cash (at least apple) and

I've never really thought of it like this – interesting. Are there any other examples of large/popular companies on par with Amazon"re-invest" mentality? I can't think of any off the top of my head but would be inte

I think this is very clever, I've never seen anything like this. Great work, your site does a nice job of explaining itself quickly.

I love how "only has the brand" is used negatively here. Having the "brand" is having everything. You can have a worse or more expensive product with "the brand". People will love/obsess over you from &quo

did you even watch the video? Trello uses lists (to mimic SCRUM), this uses days (to mimic a calendar). Not that similar.

Thanks for the comment – my partners and I could not agree more and that's one of our goals with Medko. Patients that would like to go abroad can use our search to find English speaking doctors in LatAm. They can also send them a messa

Yes, we were in generation 6.2 from Feb-Aug, 2013. We remained in Santiago longer than any other international team from our generation and still have most of our team members in Chile. If you have any questions about the program, I'd

Thanks for the comment and totally agree. I'm one of the founders and we would love to get our actual doctors up there as soon as possible.

Do you have any resources you'd recommend to get started learning this? It's a nice feature and I noticed it when the new YC page first loaded but have never investigated it myself.

An idea-stage startup should not be paying a FTE 120k. That is lunacy and engineers need to start to understand this. More equity, lower salary until there is money coming in would help more companies survive longer while they look for pro

Can you cite a few examples of companies they funded with substantial revenue? I'm very curious to learn about which ones they were.

I think your math is off. 5 NP's per batch * 50k = 250k from teespring which makes your point even stronger.

The 120k for 7% is a great middle ground. Trying to raise that amount on your own isn't going to be easy or net you nearly the same valuation as this deal and re-investing every penny is wise but it may take several months/a year
