At https://sprint.ly we use Buffer to manage outgoing posts. It's worked really well; especially now that they have the new scheduler: http://cl.ly/image/1I2g153e3c31 . We publish fairly regularly on ou

Thanks! I agree, there's a handful of these issues I'd planned on talking about in future posts; but your list adds a bunch more I hadn't thought of. Lack of training is a tricky one, isn't it? If you give the wrong kind

Yes! I think this section of the post could definitely be expanded on: It’s important to have developer buy-in. Their passion for a feature can be a huge driver for velocity. This is why I also appreciate PM tools that incorporate discuss

Joe Stump told a story on his podcast about this: the VP of Engineering would always tell the business side, “Everything always takes 60 days.” He had a high confidence that most tasks take 60 days. Here's the link to the audio: https

I agree: right now the biggest competitor to PayPal isn't Apple Pay (or Amazon Payments, or Google Wallet)... it's Stripe. Another advantage Stripe has right now is what the developer community is building. 3rd party tools like h

This really resonated with me: There is no achievable perfect balance point of schedule. Many things that appear to be "balanced" are actually in constant motion in order to maintain the illusion of balance. I've found this

For the Canadian startup scene, this is rather sad news. GoInstant was started by Jevon MacDonald. Before starting the company, he ran a popular Canadian blog called Startup North. The team, I believe, was still based in Halifax, Nova Scoti

JTBD really helped me understand that customers don't just "buy" a product. They're "hiring" it to do a job (or jobs). For example, we don't buy a cup of coffee just because we're thirsty. There'
