Not necessarily. Static IP and PTR records improve the "credibility" factor, but it's not required. I'm running mine on the dynamic IP provided by the ISP, without PTR. Despite the warnings I get from the mail scanning t

Maybe I’m missing something, but how can immortality, even a theoretical one be achieved? Say you find a way to cure all diseases and reverse aging, you can still be killed or die in an accident. Say you find a way to transfer your consciou

All the tiny pieces could be traced in an automated way. It’s probably the lack of regulation that lets exchanges get away with not implementing better anti-laundering mechanisms.

You're actually implying that you can't trust any computer with the code you are telling it to execute. This is an exaggeration IMO. Sure you can have backdoors and hacks, but with what probability? On the other hand, users need t

Try https://github.com/tomav/docker-mailserver It’s pretty good, I use it for my own server. It still requires some config, but better than running all the services from scratch.

I implemented a bloom filter for the KeePass plugin [1] I wrote, using the data from HIBP. It was pretty fun and there were some challenges that you won't typically encounter in online guides. Still, that was a hobby project, I've

Great fan of Rails but man, that’s a lot of bloat. Last time I used Rails it only came with jQuery. Live-reloading was an exotic thing, quite difficult to setup. Now it seems to be enabled by default, explaining some of the stuff in there.

They don't have to lie. You can have 90% of those 400k people do legit work, but still fake the landing. Maybe they built the rocket but encountered some technical bottleneck and had to fake the landing. Not a skeptic myself, but the a

You only need a public IP, not necessarily static. My ISP offers public IPs via pppoe and dynamic DNS. I was able to install my mail server with docker-mailserver [1] without much effort. There are some quirks, but it's worth trying ou

It can certainly be completed without spoilers, but it requires a bit of trial and error. I managed to ascend after 2-3 months of intense play...and a lot of dying. I think part of the joy of playing nethack is discovering how things work,

Trading on exchanges can still theoretically continue, it's just deposits and withdrawals that won't work.

I'm also interested in the markdown editor. Is this something you build yourself (based on showdown) ? I also see some codemirror css in there, so it's not clear.

A bit off topic but weren’t .cat domains restricted to the Catalan language? Not sure if it’s enforced though.

It's pretty much irreversible. Most of the emigration comes from Eastern European countries which hardly get any imigrants of their own. Very few people who leave choose to return. Within a generation (two at most) they fully integrate

Just wondering if there is any solution to this. If you incentivise people (financially) to return, you discriminate against the local population. You can try to slow down emigration by building up the economy, but the wage differences are

I am not an expert in either of these fields, but I wouldn’t dismiss the correlation. Quantum mechanics tackles the problem of the observer. If you put a cat in a box, it’s in an undefined state until someone looks at it. If you send your f

Thanks, I actually have it installed, but never made it through all the tutorials. I'll probably give it another shot, would make it much easier to get an understanding of simple questions like this one.
