There's no problem with making chargebacks in Europe. Maybe you should move to another bank?

It is not really clear / mentioned anywhere - are the sales limited just to the USA?

I don't think Eastern Europe would provide many software engineers nowadays, with the exodus from Russia and war in Ukraine. The poor part of Europe is now south - but I am not seeing many devs there either.

AFAIK it isn’t owned even partially by Musk.

The stock went up before the demo. It was a bit underwhelming so the price is back were it was before the presentation was announced.

> Despite high fuel prices, it's still cheaper for me to drive from northern England to London I assume you calculate all the costs of car usage, not just the fuel?

For the last 10% you'll need to write a paper yourself.

That's not exactly how it works. You can't make 4.75% of $67B if you never had $67B in real dollars. They could have as well never received any USD / fiat.

It really pleases me to see that one can create such a business nowadays and make it thrive. It is in such opposition to megacorp scaling and efficiency.

Get ready to work outside of your time zone if you get a job at any bigtech. Team are often global and having calls outside 9-5 is pretty common.

I agree on that point, but not on the one where Apple should give him the original proof of purchase.

I am suggesting that if I bring a laptop and ask them to produce a receipt of its purchase it’d not prove that I purchased the laptop. Anyone could do it and then use that receipt to say they bought it in the first place.

How are they supposed to produce the receipt? You’re supposed to have it. They gave it to your hand or send it to you over email.

Still; numbers. I do not use Twitter, but the web app is relatively simple; I am not hearing much good about the mobile apps. So we got what; maybe 30 people working on the frontends? I do not think Twitter had ever 8000 engineers - my unde

I'd really like to see someone smart trying to estimate what 550 engineers are working at Twitter on. It still seems like plenty.

The salaries for devs are not that much different. You’re probably thinking about the ones from California, but that’s not a usual compensation for US devs.

Yeah but you buy a pickup for a work that you could not do with a van. Pickups are for farmers, how do you carry pigs or a pile of dirt in a van?

Is the Twitter team back to the office? I'd imagine the API being down is something you'd casually mention in the queue to the coffee machine. It should have trickled down to the marketing department...

Not in Europe, besides some old mountains huts. It's always a very strange feeling when I see how in the american home-reconstruction TV shows they're tearing the walls and it's all wood. Same case when I see the effects of h
