You're making some good points, but I think addiction, as a whole, subverts the ideal of 'think for themselves'. Your own CDC link states that 72.8% of African Americans want to quit. Addiction cessation programs might seem p

It seems disingenuous to me to ignore the absolute harm that menthol cigarettes have done to communities over the past several decades, lump that in with marijuana, and act like they should be treated similarly. This change will likely save

Seriously, this device is only a few years old and it runs like a 2013 windows netbook. Apps crash all the time, bluetooth glitches, unresponsive UI, etc.

They have facial recognition, but Face ID involves a complicated array of sensors and an IR projector to create a 3D mapping of your face. Iirc, the module is fairly expensive to produce which is why we aren’t seeing it on more products.

Big fan of this! Have you explored using this platform as a sort of USB C port hub for a full desktop environment? Being able to effectively create your own docking station would solve a ton of problems in the current market.

I'm in the same boat here, and nothing currently exists to my knowledge without building custom. My dream keyboard would be an Apple Magic Ergodox, but I'm not sure how viable that form factor would be from DIY parts.

Starlink seems to be priced more for the American market, where internet access to your home generally costs about $40-50 USD/mo, and cell service (with ~20gb of data, aka 'unlimited') generally costs about $35-$70/mo. F

That's a tough guarantee to make. Apple has already been putting in in some effort on their M1 macs to ensure that other operating systems can be booted, without compromising their bootloader's security. https://mobile.

I'm in the same boat, and I don't know anybody who still uses CDs. Maybe my 60+ year old uncle? If I received a CD as a gift, I wouldn't even have a way to play it, and haven't for almost a decade. I think my car has a C

I can't say I'm surprised. Cities aren't nearly as fun when other people have to be considered biohazards. The question that remains to be seen is what percentage are gone forever?

It does by performance, but RAM and IO are still very constrained (1 external display on laptops, max 16GB RAM) We'll see. If they replaced all products with an M1 version, they're diluting their pro brand, then un-diluting it whe
