I saw the thread created about it here in hnews, but they're only ycombinator startups and there's little/none description about what they do. Maybe parsing the crunchbase site I can create the spreadsheet myself.

As far as I know, crunchbase doesn't provide a spreasheet where you can quickly look, filter, group companies and startups.

I'm in that situation, my life will be probably easier in another country but I'll keep on struggling here. Sadly, If I were from another country, I wouldn't even consider coming here for business.

Sorry if I'm just ignoring something(I'm not from the USA) but isn't it possible to say you were freelancing or something similar to cover the gap?.

I don't think you had made a mistake, far from it, I think that this process helped you became aware of the things you really value. That's a big step forward. I'm a similar person: I approach starting a startup as a means to provide me wit

Good article. It seems incredible that, while we're evolving in a lot of fields, we're clueless(not all of us, but a great percentage of the people in the world) about what leads to a great life, what makes a life worth living.

How much "must read" articles, books, blogs do we've to read in order to be successful?. I don't think it's bad to read an article or so once in a while, but there is no "must read" list.

Great material, I'm studying operating systems and this really helps me. It'd be great to find similar material about other OS topics(scheduling, I/O...).

I agree with you. I'm gonna begin thinking about how to make something that really matters, something meaningful that truly helps society. I don't know if I could really do it, but I'll do my best.
