Ask HN: investment tracking web app

I'm a member of a private(you have to pay a fee in order to get in) investment forum, where entrepreneurs have the possibility to publish projects and the members can invest in them. Tracking the projects in the forum is difficult and messy, especially for the people who publish projects(they waste a lot of time looking trough different threads). This produces a lot of communication problems so I think the forum doesn't fit to do this task. Some examples: - It's pretty hard to measure things about the project. - Sharing private information. - Pending requests for information, confirmation... - If an investor is interested in a project he has to post in a "project investors list thread". This always causes at least two problems: an investor forgets to add the previous entered on the list and someone has to fix it, some investors don't want to appear in the list, so they send a private message to the project manager, and then the project manager has to update the list. So I'm thinking about building an app to solve this problem and I'd like to know if there are already similar apps in the market. I've made a search but I couldn't find something similar. I'd also like to ask you what do you think about the idea, I'm improving the problems list and then I'll begin making some mockups before customer validation. Pricing the app wouldn't(there are different ways to charge for the product) be easy but a nice thing is that I'll charge a minimum amount of the money a project receives.
