Generally speaking, OS X is amazingly bad at all things UI given how good it is.

Would the joking intent of the usage of men-centric idiom be more clear if I append "now get off my lawn" to the comment?

As flawed as the interviews are, whatever you do that makes you filter out a person with an attitude of this type, it is probably working.

I don't understand how it can help if it is just a facade on top the healthcare.gov. Creating alternative sites like this can only create confusion for average users. I don't know their motivation, but the reporting definitely

Not even going to click to find out how stupid people are. Did they implement integration with data streams from hundreds of national insurance companies? Didn't think so.

This is not apples to apples. I actually just went to the site and got a quote. The site works well and I don't want to diminish what they built, but I ended up getting quotes from like 3 different insurance companies. Compare that

Opt in or opt out doesn't matter (think average user understanding of what is going on here, really). Things like this just should not exist.

There is nothing new about this. Putting a proxy into to modify content is as old as the usage of tcp proxies. What is new here is that they have no shame -- I don't expect software from a reputed company to pipe my email through the

I am speechless. This is like the Facebook Android "hack" of the VM to support their crappy app wanting to use lots of classes, only this one is less offensive technically and more offensive from the security point of view. WTF.

I think you are missing the point. The problem is that it is just not a good logo. It doesn't mean anything, it doesn't say anything about your company. If you can't come up with a good logo just make your company name the

You can argue with anything if you reduce it to a ridiculously absolutist statement. But the bottom line is that there is a significant gap between the top 1% developer and average "let's see if I can google some code that does

The write up of the NGQP seems (at least superficially?) weird: they say that the reason for the rewrite was poor performance on a particular artificial benchmark (8-way join.. how often do people join 8 tables in practice?). At the same t
