I star/favourite some photos after taking them. If I lost everything except the starred ones I would be ok. Backup on dropbox, and dropbox in n computers. Once in a blue moon I collect some starred pictures and print a physical album,

That is true for everyday use, but false in a legal context. Try saying that a product contains x when it contains y. For example, extra olive oil that contains gutter oil. In certain contexts you will have to explain to a judge that langua

It is the efficient market hypothesis. If it really were 100% efficient why would anybody start a company? In reality there are pockets of inefficiency, and they are still working markets. You can see how this interpretation clashes with an

If you learn from others you save yourself a lot of time. Imagine if you had to invent all of mathematics yourself. I think learning from your own experience is best but there is just not enough time to always do it.

IMO often this just reflects the priorities of the organization. While it is the responsibility of devs, some system needs to be put in place to actually enforce it. Like, do not have an nfs shared volume, or incentivise anybody to report t

I do not disagree that sometimes German bureaucracy is not the most efficient. But. I have used Elster and, while it is true it looks old and overly complicated, it actually works great. You get _a lot_ of very useful warnings about fields

A word document is also a binary format (unless it is an xml monstrosity) not too different from pdf, but more proprietary. Plus one vould embed an image on word. With a markdown format I would agree, though.
