This is indeed the source of many troubles for Spain, and it is quite shocking. There are laws against investigating were victims of civil war are buried, and other dark things like that. At the time, any reforms had to please the Franco su

I like this thought exercise, but I also think the analogy would be more accurate if we asked "heya weldingnews.com, what programming jobs would fit someone who has 10 years of TIG welding". The answers would be bad I guess, which

I cannot understand why there are not 3 or 4 categories of incidence severity (user data exposed, etc. I think there is a standard or multiple) and management maps each of those to a quantity in euros. Then everyone would get what they want

IMO KPIs are metrics to optimize (if they are objective). A set of values is already encoded in them by the specific formula being chosen.

It depends on how much lifting the word fundamentally is doing. On one side, we are born, maybe reproduce, then we die. Fundamentally the same. On the other extreme we have tik tok so the times are fundamentally different.

Good point. Improving efficiency alone can bring increased consumption, not less. I think if we think of the world as regions it is easy to think of regional collapses while the world as a whole keeps growing. We, or at least me, have been
