The Russian Air Force has been very much active. They have not achieved air superiority because their planes generally cannot deal with anti air setups. But they’re still using planes and helicopters frequently.

False flag attacks are very much real and are pretty well documented in this very war. They are generally not well executed and come off as very obvious. At least by Russia. This incident does appear to be an accident however.

It’s very interesting how old people think they have superior wisdom, when in fact they’ve merely grown confident on the worst human biases and instincts.

This article is explicitly wondering why people don’t live closer to friends, explicitly preferring friends over family. I don’t think it’s surprising personally.

It sounds like you are arguing nuclear power is expensive, dangerous, and will only work with massive taxpayer subsidies; but we should ignore all of that because we don’t have a viable alternative. I don’t think we should ignore those stat

None of these points seem to address the parent’s point which was that restarting a nuclear plant that is much older than its intended lifespan is not safe. “No more criticisms without solutions” is not a real argument. Obviously criticisms

They are very poor predictors of things. Those factors are not significant effects on personality.

A personality framework is a descriptor of reality. Not a predictor. Your comment is nonsensical.

I actually asked 3.5 to do this and it chose the thumb’s down, amusingly. I asked it to explain why it chose that and it told me that as an AI model it could not choose emojis.

I think there is some irony in claiming a certain behavior seems to be distinct to one personality archetype as evidence that the personality framework is meaningless.

Personality varying with context is a well accepted concept. Most of these kinds of tests acknowledge it.

Star signs are the belief that you have a label which causes you have traits. A personality framework assigns you a label based on the traits you have. They’re basically the opposite of each other.

Alright this one annoyed me enough to look it up. First of all Peterson’s claim is 83, not 85. Second, The military does not test IQ. It has a different test with a decent correlation. This test scores in percentiles however. And the bottom

I disagree. We cannot expect these tools to work if we don’t communicate what we want from them. Can’t do that for humans either. We shouldn’t be confusing clear communication with “prompt engineering”.

But you can do a task you’ve done before with poor specification too. Sure, maybe it is contamination. But who cares? We only ought to judge the tool on its performance for carrying out good instructions.

That’s not my point. Maybe it is parroting a solution for something it has seen before, but still capable of writing solutions to problems it has not seen before when they’re well specified. The presence of contamination does not mean the g

This guy seems to laugh away the fact that he gave the prompt in terribly broken and chunked up formats. I don’t think it’s surprising the model did poorly. Maybe the contamination issue is true. But maybe it’s also true that the model does
