Just curious how one would know if it was the 'right' solution without having tried other solutions? I find it hard to believe that any business would not benefit from moving from an ancient computer system to one with error valid

Anecdotally moving abroad in high school saved my social life. I was a shut-in and never adjusted in the US, but moving abroad gave me a fresh start and let me develop into the person I am today. I'm very appreciative for the opportuni

I love it. To me, the biggest limitation of physical games is that at a certain point (much like real state/warcraft), it becomes impossible to manage the sheer volume of properties and game pieces. Computers solve this issue and let u

It really grinds my gears that your opinion on a thing you didn't completely read is right next to well thought-out responses by people who bothered to read the article.

Then buy the black ones for 1/5 of the price and the same exact feature set. Apple is not king of audio hardware, they are the king of turning decent quality, well-packaged and integrated hardware into commodities and fashion statement

As someone who lived (and is currently in Japan), I disagree. While addresses may be logical from the largest to smallest blocks from country to town to block, once you're on a block the address references the name of the building inst

Unless you only buy hand-crafted goods (do hand-crafted laptops exist?), most of what we consume is direct from factory crapware anyway. I'd rather get it straight from the factory...

What about Go? It seems like their approach is that if they define the style guide and build it into tooling, your code style (for Go) can only be the 'approved' style. Or, put another way: People only have code styles because lan

I didn't perceive the author to be doing any technical gatekeeping, quite the opposite. I feel like their article was targeted at people like me or others who use stuff like Hugo/Jekyll, or those who use free website builders or u

Is that any different than anything else? Compilers, asset pipelines, and build tools all work the same way: they make assumptions about how a system works and try to optimize on those assumptions. Test your app, run QA, etc. Most licenses
