Yes, what I've sometimes done is search F-Droid first, then find that same app on the iOS app store.

I also love Clickbait Remover (1) to get rid of the customized thumbnail and instead show a random snapshot from the middle of the vid. These days the thumbnails are all noise and no signal anyway. 1: https://addons.mozilla.org&#

I've primarily used touch as a timestamp updater, not a file creator. But to be charitable, it is under the headline "Creating an empty file".

Does KDE not do the same for you? It was pretty strange back in the Plasma 4 days, but since Plasma 5 it's felt extremely "normal" and unsurprising, like Windows 7. I'm not a regular user so it's just my surface imp

Basically LXDE got rebranded into LXQt, though since DEs and WMs don't get obsolete fast, LXDE will continue to work for a long time. You can still pick LXDE in Debian if you prefer Gtk 2 for some reason.

LXQt seems like a marriage of great concepts, but I had difficulty finding end-user help last time I tried it. What sites would you go to? Where's the community at? Unrelated, but I wonder if anyone else feels this. All DEs seem broken

More than accent, in Europe you can hear odd word choices and sentence structure, because people internally translate from their native languages. "Take it careful when crossing the step" - what does this mean? You can also hear &

While this makes sense, an alternative hypothesis also makes sense: that consciousness just came when the hardware was there, and a standby state for it then evolved afterwards. It's easy to buy if you just postulate that the standby s

Another valuable lesson I got from that rabbit hole is that a "segmented" night's sleep is actually nothing to get upset over. If you wake up in the middle of the night, it doesn't indicate anything is wrong, and you can

This puzzled me until I realized you're talking about mainstream news-type sites. I agree on that, but these barely qualify as writing in the first place, since none of the traditional goals apply. It's like if the only kind of vi

Just a nitpick, but it doesn't matter what you value if you can't find it. Else the data would look quite different, e.g. all incels would be married. So what matters is what women find, not what they value.

Yes, it's not very relevant for an opinion piece how and where it's published. I could make a video that criticises YouTube and it still makes sense to put it on YouTube.

No. It's a matter of being used to something. When used to 1.8 cm, you go "wow" at 1.55, but going in the reverse direction is a shrugging matter. For weight it's the opposite. When used to a light laptop, you find a sli
